Chesapeake ASSP Virtual Chapter Meeting

  • May 26, 2022
    10:00 am - 11:30 am

Topic NIOSH Fatal Accident Circumstance & Epidemiology (FACE) Program

Each day, on average, 15 U.S. workers die as a result of a traumatic injury on the job. The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) Fatality Assessment and Control Evaluation (FACE) program is a research program designed to identify and study fatal occupational injuries. Attend the May 26th virtual monthly meeting to learn how the FACE program works to prevent occupational fatalities by identifying and investigating worker deaths and then formulating and disseminating prevention strategies. Craig Lowry, Chesapeake ASSP Program Director, who once worked closely with the FACE program, will share details about this important program and how to avail oneself to the valuable data they produce.
